CGHS conducted exam for Nursing Officer in januray 2018 for posts in Maharashtra and Ahmadabad. We are giving full syllabus to help future candidates.

Syllabus is divided into two sections, common section and domain section.

Total Number of Questions – 100
Maximum marks – 100

Domain secton tested knowledge of profession, whereas common section was common for all paramedical posts.

1.General Knowledge (20 questions)

• Current affairs-India
• Indian History
• Indian Geography
• Indian Economy
• Indian Constitution
• General Science
• Current World events
• Sports
• Indian Music, Dance &Culture

2.Logical Reasoning (20 Questions)

• Coding and decoding-Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification
• Analogies-Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy
• Similarities and differences
• word building
• Arithmetic number series, non-verbal series
• Visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts
• Space visualization
• Percentage & Averages
• Ratio & Proportion
• Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount
• Time &distance
• Time & work

3. English and Hindi Language (20 Questions)

Since the question papers would be bilingual – in English language question paper 20 questions for English language and in Hindi language question paper 20 questions for Hindi Language

• Synonyms and Antonyms
• Spelling error
• Spotting error in sentences
• Grammar -Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Preposition, Conjunction,Use of ‘A’, ‘AN’ and ‘THE’
• Idioms and Phrases
• Comprehension( one passage on which 5 questions asked)

Hindi ( 20 questions)

• Idioms and phrases
• Correct the sentences
• Fill in the blanks
• Synonyms and Antonyms
• One – word substitution
• Comprehension (one passage on which 5 questions asked)
